Welcome to Springfield Nephrology Associates, the premier nephrology practice in Greene, Christian, Wright, Barry, Laclede, Polk, and Howell counties. Located in Springfield, Missouri, Springfield Nephrology Associates was founded in 1996 for the purpose of providing exceptional medical care in outpatient settings, inpatient settings and dialysis centers. Our physicians, Dr. Ethan Hoerschgen, Dr. Susan Woody, Dr. David Sommerfeld, Dr. Stephen Garcia, Dr. Giselle Kohler, and Dr. Kristie Jones also practice at offices in Bolivar, Lebanon, West Plains, Mountain Grove, and Aurora.

Kidney Disease
Chronic kidney disease occurs when a patient's kidneys lose their ability to filter waste and excess water from the blood. There are five stages of kidney disease, and treatment depends on how far the disease has progressed.
